Domestic PC alloy breaks through the lightweight track of automobiles, and Shunwei Saite’s patented technology reshapes the supply chain pattern.

Guangdong Shunwei Saite Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd. recently obtained a patent for the preparation method of PC/ABS alloy materials granted by the State Intellectual Property Office (patent number CN119019833B), marking a key breakthrough in domestic automotive-grade engineering plastics technology. The extrusion-grade PC+ABS MC8100 material developed by Dongguan Hongjing Plastic Technology has overcome the deformation problem of traditional alloys under temperature and humidity changes through nanofiller modification technology, and the dimensional stability has been improved by 20%4. In the Huawei 5G base station shell project, this material successfully replaced similar products of Bayer in Germany, reducing costs by 18% and passing the UL94 V-0 flame retardant certification, providing a new paradigm for the lightweighting of domestic communication equipment. The ST-1009 series of electroplating-grade PC alloys of Lotte Chemical are gradually replacing the metal chrome plating process with precise metal adhesion control, and are applied to the substrate of Ideal Automobile door handles, with a single piece weight reduction of 60%.
