Widespread Applications of ABS Resin

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) resin is one of the world’s most widely used thermoplastics due to its unique balance of strength, rigidity, and impact resistance. Its largest applications are found in three core sectors: automotive, electronic appliances, and building materials. In the automotive field, ABS is used for both interior and exterior parts, including dashboards, body panels, interior trim, steering wheels, door locks, bumpers, and ventilation ducts. In the electrical and electronic industry, it is the material of choice for housings and components of refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, air conditioners, computers, and copiers, thanks to its good appearance and electrical insulation. Within building materials, ABS pipes, ABS sanitary ware, and ABS decorative panels are extensively utilized for their durability and ease of installation. Beyond these primary areas, ABS also sees extensive use in packaging materials, furniture, sports and entertainment products, and the general machinery and instrument industries.
